Carey Kennedy Treasurer

I have a BS from K-State in Business Administration, majoring in finance and accounting. I worked as a CPA for seven years until I shifted into my favorite role of stay-at-home mom. While at home with the kids I began writing fiction in my free moments. I reentered the workforce, and after nine years splitting my time between financial geek and blog and short story writer, I fell backwards into a unique position where I could do both. I’m currently writing financial books for Advisors Excel, focusing on retirement planning and income taxes. My career goal going forward is to strike an expected balance between two men I professionally idolize, Warren Buffett and David Ogilvy.
